mlk day at sgi

mlk day at st. george island? yes please.

2006
(my senior year/brett was finishing up his mission)
it was actually warm enough to dabble in the water. gotta love florida.

back when we hung out with this kid.

and these kids. but just that one time.

2008
(during our broken up phase)
just waitin' for the tide to come back in.
obviously it was a little more chilly this time around.

we decided to go up the river for the first time instead of going out in the bay. poor choice. the current took us to the trees. after untangling ourselves from the branches, we got stuck on a sandbar and brett had to get out and push the boat in the freezing water.
not the smoothest sailing adventure, but we still had fun.

it was slow going on the way back. we got back to the dock after dark.
(p.s. if you're friends with keri on facebook there's a funny little video on her facebook of this sailing trip. it's called sailing to our deaths. a little harsh, but perhaps fitting. and if you're keri reading this -- you wanna give me that video? franks!)

2011
(marriaged and during the calm before the storm at school and work)
brett's mama with her pooch misty.

this is as close as we got to the beach this time. brr.

brett's mom gave us a tour of the new spiffy club house at the plantation.

we made a little pit stop by the airport on the island.

i can't wait for mlk day next year since brett will be
starting his last semester of school!
holler!
