for once we had a pretty low key christmas. no snowboarding trip this year meant less traveling in general. it was nice.
we started out celebrating with my family on christmas eve. we did it early so people could travel/go to work, so we had waffles and breakfast. mmmmm. right up my alley. i love breakfast and i've realized all those holiday casseroles just make me feel sick (and not from over eating).
two aunties and a new mama. no big deal, but sophia has definitely picked me as the next best thing when she can't be with her mama.
there are so many chillins in our family now and two of us haven't even started having kids yet! we are undoubtedly going to outgrow my parents' house before we're all done having kids!
i came up with a great idea for gifts for all the kids a little too late, so i spent the days leading up to christmas crafting my little brains out. aren't they so cute! when corbin opened his bowtie he was a bit confused, he thought he got a girl's hair bow on accident ha.
all six of us squeezing on the couch.
we were supposed to do a family photoshoot outside, but things got a little crazy, as usual. i didn't want to waste our good looks though, so i still made kyre snap a few of us.
it's. so. bright.
brett thinks he looks ridiculous with his shirt tails stickin out.
me and brett exchanged gifts that morning before we headed to my parents' house. i was sooo glad we did because look what he got me! it was exactly what my outfit needed! it's a little pocket watch necklace! i was so surprised when i opened it even though i'd been emailing brett "dear santa" emails all week with links to stuff i liked. it was just so last minute i didn't think it was possible! he got it from twig creative on etsy. check em out. they're awesome and really great to work with.
i was most proud of what i came up with for brett's stocking stuffers: zax sauce. the girl thought i was nuts when i walked in to zaxby's and all i bought was 10 packets of sauce.
