thanksgiving place cards

although our family is constantly growing, somehow our numbers on thanksgiving seem to be shrinking.
this means sitting at the table, and having a name card for each person is plausible.
i made these quick and easy name cards by folding card stock, taping on fall looking scrapbook paper and names. (with rolls of tape on the back)
on the inside of the name cards i put random trivia about thanksgiving. we quizzed each other, learned something new, and my nephew showed off his reading skillz by reading them all out loud to us.

first i taped down the answer and then i put the question on top of it as a flap.

the place cards definitely made a difference at our thanksgiving dinner, maybe i'll whip some up for christmas too!

p.s. turducken is a chicken inside of a duck inside of a turkey and it started in louisiana.
