if the hat fits, wear it

who said dress up is for kids?
this year we got into character for our thanksgiving feast.
i made an adult and baby size pilgrim woman bonnet, an adult pilgrim man hat, and three indian headbands.

pilgrim woman bonnet
soooooo easy you just fold an inch flap for the front and cut two 3ish inch slits in the back that get folded and taped to shape to your head. i got the directions from martha right here.

pilgrim man hat
i cut cereal boxes out in the shape of the hat and brim separately. hot glued some felt on them. then got glued the brim on top with a paper buckle. lastly i hot glued and taped (for good measure) a wooden skewer on the back.

indian headband
ribbon, feathers, and hot glue.

so easy and definitely made for lots of fun!
is it strange if i want to make the pilgrim girl bonnet out of cloth? i don't know what i'd do with it 364 days out of the year, but it just looks legit.
