nostalgia

weren't those the days?
remember back when polaroids came from the camera, not a photo editing program; when a cute little sailor dress was a staple in your wardrobe; when your whole family piled into the station wagon to go anywhere?
yeah, me too.

{my favorite part about this picture, aside from that adorable little girl in the middle, is all the polaroids sitting on the chair, waiting for their pictures to develop.}

my birthday has come again, and this year its gift to me was nostalgia.
i know twenty three is young, but for some reason i'm feeling quite old...
brett thinks i'm silly, and yes that's definitely a true statement, but since when did i become older than the typical college kid? since when did i make health care decisions, and retirement plans, and celebrate second year wedding anniversaries?

sheesh life moves fast, and i'm not even speaking yet as someone who's a parent!

OK. You were an ADORABLE kid! And HAPPY EARLY BDAY!!!! I love you!
You made mt day when you called today, I love that. Not a text or an email, a phone call. So refreshing!

Love you!

Oh, you are not old by any means but i know exactly what you mean. Time is flying by.
