i just love a good baby shower.

me and emily made this invite from one we liked online. the box does not really belong there - it's just covering up the details. the experience of making this invite has really made me realize how much i desperately need photoshop!


and here's the back up invite i made in case we couldn't get all the kinks with the other one worked out in time for the mail out. we printed them as 5x7 matte photos from sam's and made sure to make them brighter than we wanted since sam's makes prints darker and oranger than you expect. we also made the white border a little wider to account for the fact that no matter what stuff seems to get cut off when your pictures get printed.

once again, just imagine no white box there. i also messed this one up because i didn't create it big enough, so trying to print this at a 5x7 size would not be pretty (even though in gimp i did choose 5x7 print area) oh well the original that we wanted worked out so yay!

i'm dying to post the things i've been working on for the shower, but i don't want to risk ruining the surprises for the mama-to-be!
