baby g's shower!
the theme: pink & green, and polka dots
the food:
7
layer bean dip and tostito's scoops, veggies with ranch, apples and
grapes with cream cheese marshmallow dip, chicken salad sandwiches,
spinach artichoke dip with bread, strawberry cupcakes, key lime
cupcakes, brownie bites, water with lime, and pink lemonade.
the decorations:
tissue
paper puff balls, clothesline with a homemade applique onesies (that
one is not a blob, it's the state of georgia - just so we're clear),
felt flower wreath, circle garland on the table, name banner cut out
with an amazing cricut, pink and green flowers, and a diaper cake
covered in hair clips with felt booties on top.
the activities:
to
keep our guests busy we set out a table of pictures of the
parents-to-be and had the guests guess their age in each picture, guests
filled out scrapbook pages to predict the details of baby g's arrival,
we set out baby products for a "price is right game", guests filled out
envelopes to make thank you notes a little easier, lastly we did the
classic guess how big the belly is game. this may sound like a lot, but
three of the games were done while we were mixing and mingling and we
tallied up the winners of the games during present time. we gave
chocolate and pink and green orbit gum in cute little pink and green
bags for the prizes. marshmallow pops for the favors, they're cute but
very lethal, i like to call them diabetes on a stick.
the guests:
here are some shots of the fun times we had, and a couple gifts. i love the little hand sewn toys she got.
the stuff we made is very simple, it's just thinking of the tiny details that makes a difference.
tutorials to follow!
