brett spent his birthday being a little stir crazy at the house (apparently he really is ready to have a job). we went out to lunch at tijuana flats then i skipped out on work a little early.
i proposed we go to the driving range but brett picked bowling.. again. we went bowling before dinner (because i had so much planned!) so we were the only people in the bowling alley. it felt like that scene from dan in real life.
afterwards we went to eat at the curry pot for the first time (and basically sat with nate and mindi who got there right after us!) and it was delicious. we picked up a liberal amount of vegan cookie dough on our way to fun station. we just so happened to park next to a blue cruiser. sure wish i could give him that as a birthday present! (maybe one day when you're older babe.)
we only went to fun station because i'd given him $10 in ones to play the cut the string game... but when we got there a new similar game called key master caught his eye. brett saw it and said, "that's all there is to it? there must be something more you have to do?" wellll apparently it takes a little more than ten bucks to master that key... he ended up cleaning out the cash from both our wallets and we didn't walk away with an ipad. it really felt like he was about to win every time! maybe next time.
we also rented big easy express for his birthday and we loved it. (it's a music documentary with old crow medicine show and two other great bands. enough said.)
my family came over on sunday for birthday dinner with 28 candles in his vegan banana pudding (definitely not easy to make vegan, i should post about that experience).
love you babe, glad we got to celebrate by doing things you love!

What a fun birthday!!! You're such an awesome wife...I barely do anything for Ryan's birthday except go out for dinner or something like that. I need to step it up this year because the guy is turning 30!!!! Ahhhh!!!!
We always drive by The Curry Pot and we have it on our list of places to hit up one of these days.
I totes wanna hear about this banana pudding!!
Happy Birthday to Brett! Boys are so silly! One year I gave Lance money to spend at fun station too! We need to go there together again!
How'd the banana pudding taste? Jesse made a vegan cheesecake the other day. But I guess it wasn't very good because he ended up throwing it away! haha
I'm glad Brett had a good birthday!
Seriously, wasn't that birthday party you had for him like, last week? There is no way its already been another year!
You guys really go all out for birthdays! So thoughtful and fun. What a lucky man. :)
Also, the pictures/editing in this post are awesome. I'm a fan.
