tour de st. marks
brett took the law exam on friday so we celebrated a study free weekend by going out to red elephant with my parents, then i made brett see the hunger games at the dollar movie (he got into it for a bit there), and on saturday we biked the st. marks trail. the newest newlyweds around, chad and sara, rode (and chatted) with us for the first 12 miles. they turned around and we continued on to st. marks. the last time we went together all the way to st. marks was when we were dating, way back when. we went over to the park to have a little snack and explored the museum area for the first time. we like old stuff. the jumanji size mosquitoes that were trying to carry us away so we couldn't stand still for long. (we blame all that standing water left over from deb that we saw along the way.) it was a 32 mile ride total and surprisingly the only sore spots were our arms and shoulders, go figure. watching the tour de france yesterday, i could really feel for those pros.

32 MILES??????????? Oh my goshhhhhhh dang girl! You guys are biking pros! When we get into a house (someday!), Ry and I totally want to get into biking. And having those kid carrier things to pull too. Just doesn't work when we have limited space but it will be fun to get into in the future.
That picture of you two cheesing it is pretty hilarious!
so the funny story about that cheesing picture is that i took it, then realized i had a chipmunk cheek from my sandwich so i made brett pose for 50 times to try and recreate it sans sandwich, but then i ended up liking the first one the best anyway! ha guess you can't beat acting natural!
you'll have to show us how to get to the boardwalky looking place with the picnic tables, that looks nice we didn't see it when we were there. what a fun day! next time we will go all the way with you!
p.s.- i started a blog now that we are all married and stuff, its chad-n-saramac.blogspot.com
Holy cow!! What an awesome trip. I'm so impressed with your biking skills. Would you say the trail was very hilly?
