i first thought about doing this costume back in january and here it is! miss frizzle and the magic school bus! wahoo!
even though i thought about it nine months ago, in true freya fashion, i didn't start on it until three days before it needed to be finished. we had group plans with our up cast from last year that fell through so the magic school bus it was! it was my lucky day at goodwill on saturday, i found the perfect dress and the iguana beanie baby! thank you whoever you are that just purged your beanie baby collection! at first the plan was to hot glue (for time's sake) all of the planets etc. on the dress but i ended up hand stitching them on so this costume would be good quality so i can reuse it. the bus was easy, i think i inhaled too much spray paint making it though, and i'm so glad i happened upon the yellow duct tape in the paint aisle.
1. school bus bretty. i was surprised at how many people didn't get our costume. i guess it's a nineties thing. also me and meagan! her last minute lost hikers costume was genius!
2. chris and kendal as dj lance and robot from yo gabba gabba. such a hit! the kids really thought it was the real deal.
3. fairy amy made her sweet tutu! and miikael's parents are visiting from finland so they got to experience their first halloween.
4. me with my work of art. brett being pitiful while we passed out candy. tired feet (he just started his walgreens rotation) and cold arms with no where to go except inside the box.
5. cowgirl kristen and orion as a bucking bronco. hilarious when he would shake his body. me with the up girls from last year. melissa was the only one who stuck with the group costume we had planned (toy story). our bad!
happy halloweenie!

SOOOO fabulous! That pic of all of us in a group with Brinley in the middle....so cute!!!
Melissa's unicorn costume was legit though!
Such awesome costumes! I was missing Tallahassee a lot at our Fall Festival when only a handful of the adults dressed up and no one really decorated their trunks. Plus only 10 families participated in the Trunk or Treat. The other 20 something cars just came for the chili cook off. Lame! :(
Trunk or treat looks so fun! I'm super sad we missed it this year. Booo on exams.
I love this costume idea. It is so perfect. And the one where Brett is cold cracks me up.
Your costume is AMAZING. And I'm so sad I wasn't there to see it in person!!
