there's so much detail i can't handle it

my new glasses came today!
you know how people talk about not knowing there were individual leaves on trees until they get glasses? apparently i was one of those people.
i ran home at lunch today when i saw they'd been delivered. heading back to work i was not the safest driver, i just wanted to look at everything in all its clear, detailed glory!
i went with the amber langstons from warby parker that you guys liked.
p.s. warby parker is one awesome company. so convenient and easy to work with. my home try on kit and then my real glasses got here so fast. and i had no idea until today but the glasses come with a hard case and lens cloth. woo!  the blue fuzzy interior makes me think of a vintage suitcase. all it needs is a little fading with age.

and since i've been neglecting the bloggy world, my glasses aren't the only newly arrived package at our house - it's been like christmas here cause i got the new iphone and a new case too!
my new phone is aaaamazing! jumping to the 4s from the 3 was quite the leap! the personal assistant siri is pretty cool too. she's got her quirks, but don't we all ha. being able to drive and text without ever looking down is so nice. we spent the first couple days with my phone trying to get her to say funny things. brett told her, "i like it when you call me big papa," from that rap song to see what she'd say. she said, "from now on i will call you big papa." ha! so then he changed it to freydog and she changed my name in my phone. too funny.

apparently i forgot my phone on the table today at lunch. brett sprinted up the driveway with it to catch me. luckily the weather's actually nice today so i was driving with my windows down. he caught me in the middle of our street since i could hear him yelling as i turned to leave. he's so good.
