awkward and awesome

awkward:
-watching the national spelling bee on espn. we just couldn't change the channel for some reason. we were drawn to those socially awkward and ridiculously smart little tweens with their uncanny spelling skillz. i could really identify with the brace face boy whose teeth whistled every time he said an "f".
-admitting you blogstalk someone so you can keep reading when they switch over to private. i doubt i'll make the vip list.
-sweaty feet. well pretty much sweaty anything if you're not working out. apparently when i drive my feet get sweaty, but i can only tell when i'm wearing my strappy gold sandals because the sweat makes my feet slide all over the place. so when i get out i'm walking noticeably strangely as i concentrate on not sliding right on out of my shoes. 
-eating "dine in" at a pizza place that's really designed just for "carry out". the pizza box pretty much took up the whole table. grabbing another slice from the box created a juggling act of cheesy bread, plates, and greasy napkins.

awesome:
- karley's prego secret being out of the bag! so happy for them! and so excited to shower plan! time needs to start flying by so that bebe can get here!
-heading out of the bathroom, only to have the door handle come off in your hand when you try to pull it. oh hilarious. it wouldn't have been so funny if the three of us had really gotten stuck in the bathroom, but it only took a couple tries to put the broken handle back in. poor broken handle.
-my sister and i both getting summoned for jury duty on the same day. what're the odds? sadly it wasn't at the same time though.  also, i think jury duty is awesome. it really makes me miss teaching civics, the legal system is so interesting and being a good citizen always feels good. switchin' up my normal workday routine felt pretty good too.
-pineapple on pizza. so delicious. (even on day three of left overs.)

speaking of sweaty...

..i'm cursed with sweaty pits. awkward. makes me glad i don't teach anymore so i don't have to worry about keepin' those puppies hidden.
