awkward and awesome

it's been far too long since i've done one of these!
enjoy!

awkward
-long fuzzy patches of hair on your knees. hmm apparently i'm not good at shaving. at least it's blonde.
-opening a locked bathroom door on someone. i jiggled the handle and felt that it was locked. but wait, the door didn't feel shut all the way, maybe it's locked on accident. um nope, that's definitely a lady and her little girl in there. my bad yall! i made sure to shut it good and tight when i went in next.
-goodwilling for a shirt to turn into a skirt. i looked a little odd taking a shirt off the rack and holding it up to my waist. i felt like that silly man in the elmo video who never knows how to put his clothes on correctly so the kids shout at the tv to make him do it right (shout out to my girl emme, she knows what i'm talkin' about).
-coming around the corner of an aisle in walmart and almost getting flattened by a wild haired, possibly homeless, man. he said "we almost met by accident!" too punny.

awesome
-summer! no more student pedestrians or drivers! love it.
-speaking of empty parking lots, they're using the student lot outside my office window for motorcycle cop training. lots of cones and lots of weaving and bobbing motorcycles.
-making an A in my grad class! feels good.
-hair so fine, it shines in the shade! i scoped myself out in my car mirror after getting my hair did and it was straight up shining like a pantene commercial. if only a professional would do my hair everyday.
-the family history sunday school class we just started. i'm soooo pumped. i spent some time on the family search website last night looking through our family tree which goes all the way back to the 400s! what?! we're related to a lot of royals too. no big deal. i'm surprised we didn't get an invite for that wedding.

my phone can't do it justice. you can barely see the shine in my bangs there.

p.s. ¡happy cinco de mayo!
here's a little funny cinco de mayo news from last year.
