i say, we do it!

brett created a monster.
he didn't realize what he was doing when he told me he was open to the idea of taking a cruise this spring. i've been wanting to go on a cruise since the beginning of time, so now that it looks like he could be up for forkin over the dough, i am a cruise planning monster.
he's says i'm nuts and that we haven't decided anything yet, that he said maybe, but maybe means there's hope, and hope means let's get crackin on the details.
i say spring break 2011, bahamas here we come!

{look how happy they are! that could be us!}

cruises are expensive, it's no joke, but i have 5 months to get all my little ducks in a row, right? if we say it'll be about $800 for all cruise related expenses, then i've gotta come up with 160 bucks a month. so besides saving money, i figure i need to try to make some extra income too...

here are some of the ideas:

garage sale
sell old textbooks
craft sale
car wash
babysitting
bake sale
lemonade stand
donate plasma

most of these ideas are childish and ridiculous, but hey, desperate times call for desperate measures, and i desperately want to go cruisin! who's with me?

{oh how lovely}

I want to go!!! Too bad I'll be about to have a baby and I'm pretty sure they won't let me on the boat! :(

You could totally sell those cute head things you put on Georgia's cake!! And maybe we'll need some babysitting.... ;)

good for you! You deserve a vacay! And... I know someone you could do some babysitting for! It pays a whopping 8 bucks an hour! But the babe is really really cute!

I say go for it! Shawn said he would take me on one after I make my after-baby-weight-goal. :D

P.S. You can make tons of money donating plasma if you do it regularly. I have several friends who do that in La and have paid off quarters of school with that dough!

Good luck!!

They do look happy.
I think I'm just going to post pictures like that all over the house until Cory gets the hint.
He can't possibly resist all of that.

Also, I just realized I spent all of my cruise money on fixing my car today and got sad.

You just have to do this. You have to!

Money saving/making ideas:
1) Bike to work. If anyone can do it, you can. :)
2) Quit smoking. I mean really. Then put the money you would have spent there in your cruise fund. Oh, you don't smoke? Just think about all the money you're saving already! Good job!

Thats all I've got! Good luck!

Love cruising and so I had to comment - try crucon.com. They generally have cheaper or comparable pricing and will include a little bonus (lie a credit, etc.). But I would suggest you avoid MSC...they have AWESOME deals, but I like the other brands better for food, activity, and style...Carnival being my fave. You'll have a blast!! So excited for you guys! -Jillian
