we need your expertise...

...we're in a bread slump.
we're walking exclusively on the wheat/healthy side of life (minus the occasional publix french loaf that we can polish off in record time), and we keep trying different kinds of healthy bread, only to be disappointed.
is there a wheat bread out there that isn't like biting into a dense sponge?
please, share your wisdom!

We LOVE Arnold Oatnut bread around here. Actually, I've eaten it as long as I can remember (as a kid, my Dad used to give it to me as a treat before bed...he called it "cookie bread"...and for years, that's what I thought it was really called!}. It's not whole wheat, but it *is* whole grain. In one serving: 4 grams of fiber, 13 grams whole grains, 0 trans fats, no high fructose corn syrup. (Clearly, I have the loaf right here, lol.) On second thought, you may not want to try it...sometimes I swear I could a whole loaf in one sitting...num!
Anyway, good luck on your bread search!
Arnold bread is BOMB! Although Drew would say I am not a picky bread person so maybe you shouldn't take my advice... Ask Mary Ann for a home made recipe...that might be good!
