no worries renee, the pickle made it onto the tree, it was hiding in the ornaments my mom kept for her tree.
the pickle ornament is a tradition where you hide it on the tree and whoever finds it gets to open the first gift. somewhere in my parent's boxes of christmas decorations is a pickle ornament i made in kindergarten. we don't really have enough tree or ornaments to really hide it though. one day i'll find the original, i hope.

ha it's actually not a family tradition, i just learned it at school. and renee's the one who got me the pickle so good quesion. i did see that they sell them on crateandbarrel though
