in our craziness of ending the semester (between our 36 credit hours we got all A's and a B! woo hooo! all brett's studying paid off!) and getting ready to leave on our trip (which we are on now and i will post stuff about when i get time) i didn't get to write about some stuff i wanted to, so here's the ketchup/catch up...
we've gone a little crazy on craigslist this week, with so many people moving there were just deals left and right, and for once we were lucky enough to get the stuff we wanted. so right now our living room is a little junked up with three couches (1 we bought, 1 we hate, and 1 we are foster parents to), our new bed frame we got even though we don't have a queen mattress yet, our new coffee table, and the new sweet recliner i got for brett for christmas and wrapped and attempted to put under the tree for him
here is my latest bakerella creation that i made for my boss's last day at work this week. as my boss put it, it was "simply divine". it was pretty intense, so definitely drink some milk with it.
this was the icing. it was really easy and really good. apparently it's called ganache ha
and here is the best part of the week, our nativity set finally came! i searched high and low on amazon.com for the perfect one and when i found this willow tree one it was love at first sight. (it's only flaw is that it's not wooden like brett wanted, but it looks like it from far away?)
simple and sweet.
now christmas is complete.
