three hours of driving on a weeknight? preposterous

last night my parents and i drove to st. george and back after work. why would we do such a crazy thing you ask? because we love emily and her best friend emily who is visiting for the week from los angeles. it's been years since we've seen emily (are you confused yet? how funny is it that they're both emily!) and she recently got hitched so we wanted to catch up. the beach was eerily beautiful from the strange storm/sunset lighting. one of those days where you feel like you've been photoshopped onto a beautiful screen saver. we chatted, played with the crazy kiddos and emily's adorable pups (how did i not take a picture of them?!), and watched the rain pouring in columns in the distance over the ocean. we meant to head home at 8, but didn't leave until 9! whoops! sorry dad! it was a long night. wish we could have stayed longer!

and what's crazy is the first picture is the only one i used an instagram filter on! the rest are straight from the phone! it was so gorgeous! (even if it felt like the humidity was smothering me.)

whoa...those photos are amazing! That cloud looks like it was literally right on top of you all. A movie set is a good way to put it!

OK, I swear I commented on this yesterday, but my comment isn't there. And I have no idea what I said. But the pictures look so pretty and I LOOOVE St. George. Best beach ever!

OK, I realize now it's the darn prove you're not a robot thing. So hard to read!
