last week we "celebrated" four years. i can't believe it. time needs to slow down. our trip to tennessee (then on to indiana -- more on that to come) happened to fall on our anniversary so the tradition of going on a trip for our anniversary from
last year got continued! we ended up spending our actual anniversary just hanging out with brett's dad then we went over to winchester so they could play with randall in the weekly scramble at the rock. how in the world brett got away with our anniversary being spent on the golf course, i'll never know. i guess it's a testament to how much i love him. doing all you can to make your spouse happy is what it's all about right? and compromise. that too.
(full disclosure... he was a sweetie and did get me a card though, which i didn't even think to do for him. i guess i was done gushing in cards after his good luck test cards and birthday card this summer.)
as i watched him from the cart while taking this picture, i couldn't help but feel a warm happiness.
i'm so glad i get to grow old with him, and i'm so glad i got to freeze this moment in time where i could just see a glimpse of that.

Brett is one lucky man. I love that you were willing to spend the day on a golf course with him. Happy FOUR years!!! Anniversary trips are the way to go.
How about next year you bring him to a salon and get a Couples pedicure???? That would even out the score I think :-)
