sadly, our snowboarding adventures in snowshoe, west virginia are over. i wasn't as bad as i thought i would be. brett was a good and patient teacher and let me slow him down. i can't wait till next year when i can snowboard with my sister-in-law who is on the same level as me. i only got two bad bruises (thanks to katie's butt pad), and zack was our worst injury, he dislocated his collar bone the second day and had to be taken to a hospital two hours away.
here are all thirteen of us who went (almost, two people got cut off) its the rudders, the steadmons (high school friends of brett's dad's) and the steadmon's sister's family the myers. we all stayed in a cabin on the mountain.

while brett was helping me practice we met a couple from florida who were struggling worse than me on the snowboards. they were on their honeymoon too! the wife graduated from uf's pharmacy school, and the husband just finished his first semester of pharmacy school just like brett. what a small world.
i spent a lot of time on the ground, but here it was on purpose.
all suited up in my sister-in-law's gear, next year is gonna be expensive getting all my own stuff, but i'm excited to pick out something cute.
it was so great spending so much time with brett's family, too bad bill and katie weren't there. we drove back to nashville on christmas day, so it didn't feel like christmas too much. we ate at huddle house for lunch and waffle house for dinner since they were the only places open, yuck, too much of a good thing.
