chillaxin' in jax

after teaching primary we skipped town once again for our final stop on our holiday tour, jacksonville to see brett's brother bill and his wife katie. we watched a lot of tv with katie while we waited for bill to get off work (the price is right with drew carey is not as cool as good ol bob barker) we also went thrift store hoppin and to the outdoor mall (i wish we had an anthropologie here so bad). they were supposed to have their baby while we were there (emmeline kate) cause they were going to induce katie on the 31st, the day before her due date, so they could get the tax refund. katie sat at the hospital on the drugs 10 hours though and nothin happened so they sent her home. that baby's gonna have to work off all that money she cost them, and in the words of katie "the chinese girl in juno is wrong, all babies do not like to get borned"

they pretty much have the coolest dogs ever, juancho the long haired dauchsund and newdog the yellow lab. they were living in mexico so that's how juancho got his name and newdog was a stray they found and didn't want to name her cause they didn't want to keep her. when they finally decided to let her stay forever, they couldn't change the name. bill and katie live in a 77 year old house that's really cute and walk the dogs to the park a couple streets down everyday. while they were at the hospital trying to force emmeline out, we got to pretend to be them and take the dogs to the park, luckily not too many regulars were there to notice us being posers. newdog is a real dog and plays fetch and catches frisbees. she has to chase tennis balls till she's exhausted everyday or else she's a little bit crazy. i wish we could steal them, maybe next weekend when we go back to see the baby (for real this time hopefully) i can slip juancho into my purse.
