b&f: fall ball

alright, it's been a while...
we left off with disappointed hopes on both sides: for a date in general and a date to the dance.

from there we kept on hangin' out, playing tennis, playing hide and go seek in the church....?
so mature i know.

(pardon the bad quality, this was before iphones existed. i hid under the couch and no one could find me. unfortunately when i finally gave myself up, they trapped me.)

sadly, i don't remember brett asking me to the big dance, our first "real date". i do remember hanging at the church after a rousing game of sardines, killing time until stake conference. we were all lounging around in the gym/on the stage, brett dominated me in thumb war (an excuse to hold my hand? i think so.) and popped my little knuckles for the first time. youch! (but now i'm addicted. now i have two knuckles on every finger that need popping. sheesh, thanks.) after stake conference, brian met us at the church and a big group of us went to the union for a circus themed haunted house. we found marc jones' dad on a body builder poster in the haunted house, the circus freaks got in our faces to scare us/pick on us,  there was plenty of opportunity to grab each other out of fright ha, it was odd but fun. brett and i lagged at the end of the group on the walk back to the church and playfully tried to hold hands without really holding hands. (if that make sense?)

i guess after that night, going together to the fall ball was a no brainer.

 young bucks.

we went with marc jones and jacqueline to applebees before the big dance. brett really lucked out with me as his date, he didn't even have to pay for my dinner. they gave me my oriental chicken wrap twice for free because there was a hair in it the first time around. (such a gross feeling to pull someone else's hair out of your mouth.) we danced then ended the night with some star gazing at the greenway.
