on saturday i recruited lindy to help me figure out why "my" camera was actin' a fool.
that little rebel, literally, would not cooperate on the av setting. so we were experimenting with aperture and depth of field, as you may notice in most of the pictures.
it made me feel a lot better that someone else was witnessing the camera's stubborn side, and helped me accept that sometimes an old dog really can't do all the tricks of a brand new dog.
(dog = camera. brand new dog sounds funny. i guess we call those puppies.)
it was quite fun to be outside on the beautiful day, chit chat, and pretend to be emo professional photographers. or at least art students.
railroad square was unexpectedly jammin' though, which made for a bit of an awkward start. there were bands and people all over the place - we even got jeered once by a car full of guys who didn't see the photo opportunity in the wall we were facing at point blank range.
psh. suckers.

i'm really happy with these pictures.
it's all thanks to my dad (for letting me borrow his camera), lindy (who has one good eye for a photo/lots of tips and tricks), and picnik (i broke down and bought a membership).
p.s. happy february! i taught the beehives about nutrition tonight. it was fun. it makes me want to take nutrition again since it's so interesting and it makes me want to teach. i even busted out a review game i used to always use with my students.
now time to do homework. well it's been way past time to do homework.

These look awesome--love the editing. Also, who jeers these days?? I would think RR square of all places would be full of love and acceptance. But you got some sweet pics anyway :)
SO fun to see you last night. Um, your pics are gorgeous.
Wanna do a photoshoot with Miss B? now THAT would be fun! :-) (if we could ever get her to SIT down!!!!!)
Okay.... so how did you convince your camera to take pictures like that? I've been trying to figure out how to make my camera do that stuff and I have NO clue!
I love the pics, Freya! Now I have one question for you, are we human or are we dancer?
Awesome pictures!! I have so many favorites. I bet you and Lindy totally pulled off the cool photographer look =)
Nice photos! I wish I had a nice camera, mine is from the stone age.
This is how you leave a signature link
<*a href="your link here">your text here<*/a> ...and take out the asterisks
How do you put a picture like you have the letter f next to sincerely freya?
