hello bloggy world.
i've been on a blog hiatus because of a 15 page paper deadline looming over my head (pic of the day posts don't count cause they take two seconds. at least that's what i told brett if he got onto me for doing that instead of my paper)
now that the paper is turned in and behind me, i couldn't be happier.
although my paper was due monday and this is exam week for brett, we went to orlando this weekend. brett doesn't typically travel if he has one test, let alone a week of six exams, so this was kind of a big deal. blake and erica getting married is kind of a big deal too - so we opted to make the trip.
we drove down on friday with me reading brett's notes about cancer drugs out loud to him. pronouncing those puppies is so tiring and makes me feel like a child - soouund it out - brett couldn't stop snickering.
when we got down there we stopped at wally world. holy cow. worst walmart experience ever. it was crawling with tourists (full on fanny pack wearing, mickey mouse hatted tourists). it was so crowded we felt like cattle. and those dumb tourists bought up all the bananas. i'm never living in the orlando area.
we stayed at a hotel with the hargretts and the hansens. then running on about 4 1/2 hours of sleep we all got up to make it to an early session on saturday. we also did some sealings too which is always so nice.

after a quick run to publix to get some lunch (eating buffalo chicken, potato wedges, and coke in under five minutes = bad choice), we went back for blake and erica's sealing. you could feel the happiness and love soo overwhelmingly, i'm so glad we were able to be there.
don't you love her dress!
i also love the creeper in the corner. ha.
(p.s. and how strange to see that wedding rang on blake's finger!)
i didn't take too many pics at the wedding since they had a hoard of professional photographers around. (exhibit a: kim workin her magic. check out that lens! boom!)

i did snap a shot of kim's hair though cause it was lookin too cute. her sister french braided it around the back and she had a cute little side bun with the end of her hair.
big gulps eh? brett's not ashamed of his tall socks.
afterwards, we changed and hit the road back home. for the first time ever (i do believe), when it comes to traveling out of town, i drove. apparently brett gets more out of studying when he reads it than when i butcher it out loud?
and for the first time ever, i never slept in the car this whole trip. pretty groundbreaking since i turn into rusty the narcoleptic dachshund in a sunny car. (did you click on that link? you should. rusty is hilarious. and i love how the narrator says he falls asleep while he's "busy doing other things" ha.)
when we got home we took a nap. i slept from 6-12. whoops. then instead of working on my paper till 5 when i went to bed, i wasted away my time. i really regretted that decision come sunday night at 3 am. i blame lindy. haha. and myself. she invited me to pinterist and i couldn't stop browsing. it's addicting.

and then you passed on pinterest to me! but i thank you. it's a necessary evil. your orlando trip looks fun! yay erica and blake! :) oh and i too like the dachshund who's "busy doing other things" haha.
FUn weekend!!! yaaaa any thoughts about us doing a temple trip while Ry is in school is OUT of the question. It just isn't in the cards for us. And with Brinley??? that is an added stress of how to make it work.
BUT we are committed to do it this summer. WOO!!!
Pinterest IS super addicting! Also, It is super weird to see Blake with a wedding ring on. Not actually living in Tally during this whole getting engaged and married thing for them makes it hard for me to believe! Its one of those you had to see it to believe it things. CRAZY! Also, the southern part of Orlando, aka the Temple and southwards, is a really touristy side of Orlando. Don't rule O-town out. It's too legit for realz. :)
