pumpykin time

fall has finally come to stay! it's been toying with my emotions long enough! i've gotten to wear a sweater three days in a row now, it's amazing. i think the very fallish activities of this weekend are what brought on the cooler weather. carving up some pumpkin faces, overeating homemade pumpkin bread, and dancing with the greeks at the greek food festival.

i can't remember the last time i scooped and sliced a pumpkin into a jackolantern. sadly, we realized a little too late that we each should have had our own pumpkin to saw on and design (i don't think brett knew how much he would like scooping out the brains). there's always next year.

the bread has all kinds of spices in it that mix together better as time goes by; which is perfect for snacking on day after day ha (it's highway robbery down the spice aisle though so watch out) i did put only 1/4 tsp of the cloves too cause that junk is strrrong.

after i carved pumpkins with kk and her boys, i abandoned brett so he could study allll night. (this is where the shock of winter first hit me as i ran out to my car then ran back inside to layer it on up) i went with candace and renee to get a little culture in our lives. we went too late though and most all of the food was sold out, so we settled with watching the greek dancers dance around their shot glasses. we did a little dancing ourselves and found out that candace was born to be a greek because she already has their dance style in her jeans. all i can say is OPA!
