last week emily came over for their spring break. we had a picnic lunch and zoe showed off her freshly x-rayed foot.
i spent some more time with them at clara's house. mom is such a great grandma. :)
last weekend we went to jax so the boys could watch the kids while katie and i went down to the temple.
we stopped at yellow dog eats for lunch. looooove that place. i posed with katie's pulled pork to trick brett. my portobello mushroom sandwich was amazing. too many good options to choose from.
the temple was great. that was the first time katie and i have been able to go together. we ended up doing sealings too because they needed more girls. kim and stace happened to be in our session. i love how i always bump into someone i know. it was great to see you kim! can't believe it's been 2 and a half years since we went down together on my birthday! time flies!
katie and i spent the night at her sister's house in orlando. she has the best backyard and the weather was perfect. we didn't know it, but she was having a barbque for st. patty's day... way to bring a vegan to a meat party katie.... ha.
monday brought hunger games prep - freezer paper stenciling shirts with some friends to wear for the midnight showing. there were lots of dressed up people and homemade shirts. there were also lots of teens since it was spring break and we actually had a big group of my old deerlake kids in our theater with us.
here we are looking not so fangirly. like lindy said, we almost backed out of the midnight showing, but i'm glad we didn't. it was definitely worth being a little crazy. i surprisingly functioned really well on 3 and half hours of sleep the next day too. my first yawn of the day wasn't until four, which is pretty normal. although how i managed to go to work and grocery shopping and go to bed at 11 with no nap is beyond me.
as far as a brett update... he finished up his last rotation on friday! now his main focus is job hunting and the naplex. so nuts! jp got matched at a residency in birmingham (his top pick! go jp!) so they're definitely trying to scam for us to move closer. saturday was also the stake softball tournament and the two of them played and 1st ward won! second year in a row!

Freya, your shirt turned out so good! I really am jealous that I couldn't come. I really wanted to!
baha--I look like a crazy ghost in that one picture. You know the one. And you really had me going with that pulled pork! I was like, "What the WHAT??"
