brett is happy to go back to the routine of real life, but i am dreading it. tomorrow i start my real job, in the real world, as a real teacher. i'm scared... mostly because i do not feel prepared for my first day since i don't even have my textbook at home with me, but i guess i'll sort everything out if i just show up early.
i'm looking back over our vacation adventures and missing the days of not using an alarm clock to wake up. this year for our holiday travelings we started off in tennessee of course, and from there we went out to park city for some snowboarding with the rudders.
me and my dawg katie. with our skillz combined we would make the perfect snowboarder. sadly, on the first day i fell on my wrist and was out for the rest of the trip. my wrist still hurts in certain positions, so lame. note to self, next year bring wrist guards.
getting hurt was all good though, cause then i got to hang out with emme all day. brett joined us the second day after he hurt his knee racing his brother and almost plowing down a family.
then we headed to panama city to play with emily and her kids. brett taught corbin a thing or two about throwing and catching a football and we went to an awesome antiques emporium where i collected decorations for my classroom.
on new year's eve we went to the jr. museum with clara and her chillins, who are quite the experts on the museum. that night we busted out the fondue pot and noisemakers to ring in the new year with some friends.
is that brett actually smiling in a picture? somebody give that kid some fireworks more often!
